Lorraine Neeson graduated from the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork in 2002 with a BA in Fine Art. In 2005, she received an MFA in Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art in London where she was awarded the Adrian Carruther’s studio award and bursary at ACME Studios, London. Other awards include – The Ciaran Langford Memorial Award, 2002, Barry Moloney HETAC Award, 2002, National Sculpture Factory studio award, 2002, Studio Award at Backwater Artists’ Studios, 2002, Consultus Scholarship award, 2001/2002, Claremorris Open, 2007.
